You can buy the world on yarn. But what is the best yarn for creating dolls? Many people have their own opinion and that is good. Crocheting is something personal and we all have our favorite brands to work with. Today I share my opinion about the best yarn for creating dolls, a brand that I love.
A couple of years ago I spend a whole evening searching for cotton yarn. I was just a beginner and was looking for a cheap yarn brand to get me going in my learning process. I ended up at Hobbii, a webshop from Denmark, and was surprised by their prices. Order a bunch and went to work when it arrived a few days later
From that day on, I was hooked on Hobbii Rainbow Cotton.
Why this brand?
I choose this brand to be my main brand, because of the softness and beautiful color range. There are so many colors available for Rainbow Cotton. Normally I use the 4/8 but sometimes when I need a thicker yarn, I buy the 8/8. For little handbags for sample.
As you can see, the color range is incredible. And for a sweet price and no, that doesn’t mean the quality sucks. The quality of Rainbow Cotton is sublime! It is strong, the color stays on even after a couple of washes and it is very soft.
But why do I like it so much for creating dolls? In every skein, there is an ‘easy start’ pull from the middle label. That is one thing I like about it and because the yarn is so good to handle. It slides through my fingers, doesn’t tangle up so fast, and even after a re-do of a couple of rows, the yarn stays beautiful.

So you, I love Hobbii Rainbow Cotton yarn and love to create my dolls and all their clothes with it. Give it a try yourself! It ain’t that expensive so just give it a shot.
